Leroux group receives 2 nominations for Top 20 Inventions of 2021
We are proud to announce 2 nominations for Spark Award 2022! Diana Evstafeva lead the discovery of treatment for hepatic encephalopathy and urea cycle disorders, while David Klein fabricated a mucosal suction patch for buccal drug delivery.
Each year ETH Zurich gives the Spark Award for the most promising invention from last year. And in order to win the invention has to have a strong patent, be original and have market potential. The ceremony will take place on April 22, and you can find more information here.
Diana joined our group as doctoral student in 2018. She obtained her degree in Bioengineering and Bioinformatics from Moscow State University, with strong emphasis in protein complexes and enzymatic activity studies.
David joined our group as a doctoral student in 2020. He obtained his degree in Chemistry from the University of Tuebingen, focusing on nanomaterials and engineering devices for gas sensing.
